Before joining The Courier-Journal in 2011 as VP/Sales and Marketing, he worked in a variety of media and interactive positions, including Corporate Senior Vice President for Belo Corp. and President/General Manager of Belo Interactive Media. Wes holds a B.A. degree from the University of Kentucky.

At Courier-Journal Media he has been a Digital Media Consultant (new business development) and an enterprise level Digital Strategist, consulting to design integrated digital marketing strategies to reach the right audience with the right message at the right time and drive quantifiable ROI. Today, Brian leads a team of Digital Strategists (Pre-Sales) and Digital Optimization Specialists (Post-Sales) to develop, execute and optimize successful integrated marketing strategies for our clients.

Before joining Courier-Journal Media, Alex worked in client strategy for Time Warner Cable Media in the Louisville, Ky., and Cincinnati, Ohio, markets.

With over 12 years in digital marketing, Arien comes to Courier-Journal Media by way of the information technology, automotive and SaaS industries. Her previous positions include serving as director of marketing and marketing strategy consultant. Arien holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University with an emphasis in Marketing and dual minors in Psychology and Theatre.

Cathy has over 15 years of marketing experience, including corporate, non-profit and agency settings, with work in branding, project management, events, creative direction, copywriting, social media marketing and media planning. She has worked on major campaigns with auto brands, and spent 10 years in arts marketing with theatres in Louisville, Massachusetts, Providence and Washington, D.C. She is currently a board member with Kentucky Derby Festival.

April Smith has over 11 years of experience working in advertising at Courier-Journal Media. She is highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment which has allowed her the privilege of working on both the sales and the operations side of advertising. With this experience and knowledge April has had the opportunity to work behind the scenes on many very successful advertising campaigns and looks forward to working on many more. April holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Indiana University Southeast.
